Box Score DENVER - Led by freshman Jill Remenapp (Woodbine, Md.) with three goals and two assists, the University of Denver women's lacrosse team defeated Marist 16-11 at Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium on Tuesday night.
Freshman Kiki Boone (Cherry Hills Village, Colo.) added two goals and one assist for the Pioneers (2-1, 1-0 MPSF). Sophomore teammate Jenn Etzel (Bel Air, Md.) added a goal and two assists on the night.
"We played great first half and terrible second," head coach Liza Kelly said. "Draw controls got them back into the game, but I'm happy with the win."
Marist (1-6) took the early 1-0 lead 4:51 into the game before the Pioneers answered with nine unanswered goals, taking a 9-1 lead into halftime.
Denver senior goalkeeper Ashley Harman (Boyertown, Pa.) improved to 2-1 on the season behind six saves on 22 shots, while recording her second career assist her first since April 9, 2010 against UC Davis. The Red Foxes were led by Ariel Kramer, who totaled three goals and one assist.
