DENVER – University of Denver women’s lacrosse team is set to host the inaugural Wall-Ball-A-Thon to help raise money for the upcoming season. The team will play wall ball for 24 consecutive hours, starting Oct. 4 at 8 a.m. MT and going until Oct. 5 at 8 a.m. MT at Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium.
The money raised will go directly towards the women’s lacrosse team as they aim to raise $16,000 for this year’s program.
Each team member will be responsible for one hour of one-on-one wall ball plus an additional hour of team wall ball.
Wall ball is an individual skill building activity where the player throws the ball against the wall with a lacrosse stick and catches it in the air. The ball is not supposed to touch the ground at any time. The game is used to improve the players’ stick skills, reaction speed and hand-eye coordination.
