Ripple, Gwaku Named ILWomen All-Americans

BALTIMORE, Md. --  Junior attacker Olivia Ripple and sophomore goalkeeper Lexi Gwaku were named ILWomen Lacrosse All-Americans, the organization announced on Friday. Ripple was named to the third team and Gwaku earned an honorable mention nod.

Ripple led the Pioneers with 88 points on 73 goals and 15 assists. Her 73 goals broke the single-season goal record previously set by Bea Behrins in 2022. The California native was named Big East Attacker of the Year, an All-Big East First-Team honoree and was named to the Big East All-Tournament Team. Ripple ranked eighth in the nation with 73 goals and 10th with 3.65 goals per game.

Gwaku anchored the Pioneer defense with a 0.522 save percentage and 7.22 goals against average, good for second and third in the nation respectively. The New Jersey native was named Big East Goalkeeper of the Year, an All-Big East First-Team honoree, was named to the Big East All-Tournament Team and named Big East Tournament Most Outstanding Player. The sophomore goalkeeper posted four-straight games with 10 or more saves to close the season, including a career-high 13 saves in the Big East Championship win over Georgetown.
