Olivia Ripple of the University of Denver women's lacrosse team has been named to the 2026 College Sports Communicators' Academic All-District Women's At-Large Team for her performance on the field and in the classroom this past year.
This is the second time that Ripple has been named to the All-District Team after also earning the honor as a sophomore in 2025. The CSC Academic All-District Teams recognize the top student-athletes in the nation based on their combined athletic and academic performances.
To be eligible for CSC Academic All-District honors, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade-point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his/her current institution. Nominated student-athletes must have participated in at least 90 percent of their team's games this season or started 66 percent of the games.
Each school was limited to six nominees for the Women's At-Large Academic All-District Team, which includes athletes from the NCAA sports of fencing, golf, gymnastics, hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing, volleyball, water polo and wrestling.
Ripple led Denver women's lacrosse with 73 goals, setting a school record for the most in a single season. She added 15 assists to pace the Pioneers with 88 points while also ranking first on the squad with 64 draw controls. Additionally, Ripple contributed 17 ground balls and 14 caused turnovers while starting in all 20 contests.
A third-team IWLCA All-American, Ripple broke the program's goals record by tallying her 14th hat trick of the season with three goals on May 10 at Colorado in the NCAA Tournament Second Round. She also recorded a career-high seven draw controls in that Regional Final at CU.
The Ross, California, native scored six goals on April 30 vs. Marquette for her third career sock trick and second of the season. Ripple was chosen as the 2026 Big East Attacker of the Year and was picked as the conference's Attacker of the Week five times.
Ripple has also been named a finalist for CSC Academic All-America awards and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. This year's All-America honorees will be announced on July 7, 2026.
