NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. -- Olivia Ripple,
Megan Klingenberg and
Lexi Gwaku were named to IWLCA All-West/Midwest Region teams, the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association announced on Thursday. Ripple and Klingenberg earned First Team honors while Gwaku was named to the Second Team.
Ripple led the Pioneers with 88 points on 73 goals and 15 assists. Her 73 goals broke the single-season goal record previously set by Bea Behrins in 2022. The California native was named Big East Attacker of the Year, an All-Big East First-Team honoree and was named to the Big East All-Tournament Team. Ripple ranked eighth in the nation with 73 goals and 10th with 3.65 goals per game.
Klingenberg tallied 37 caused turnovers, good for best on the team, and added 40 ground balls. The senior defender was named to both the All-Big East First Team and Big East All-Tournament Team. She ranked second in the Big East with 1.85 caused turnovers per game and ranks third in the Pioneer record books with 106 caused turnovers in her career.
Gwaku anchored the Pioneer defense with a 0.522 save percentage and 7.22 goals against average, good for second and third in the nation respectively. The New Jersey native was named Big East Goalkeeper of the Year, an All-Big East First-Team honoree, was named to the Big East All-Tournament Team and named Big East Tournament Most Outstanding Player. The sophomore goalkeeper posted four-straight games with 10 or more saves to close the season, including a career-high 13 saves in the Big East Championship win over Georgetown.
The 128 athletes named to the 2026 All-Region Teams are eligible to be named to the IWLCA All-American teams that will be announced on May 21.
