DENVER – The University of Denver gymnastics team went undefeated at home last season, marking a 12-0 record in Hamilton Gymnasium.
On March 9, the Pioneers posted their highest score of the season (197.200), earning a win over Arizona State and Illinois State on Jordyn Wieber Night. Denver’s second highest team score of the season came on January 12, in a win over Air Force, posting a score of 196.600. Denver beat the Falcons twice at home last season.
In addition to these victories, the squad also topped Lindenwood, Penn State, North Carolina State, San Jose State, Boise State, Utah State, Rutgers and Michigan State.
The previous year, Denver placed first in all but two meets at home. The team fell short of No. 24 West Virginia by .075 points and Minnesota by less than two points. The Pioneers finished the year with an 11-2 record at home.
Denver will host four meets in Hamilton Gymnasium, including 2013 NCAA Regional participants Boise State, North Carolina State, Southern Utah and Iowa State. Help the Pioneers sellout the stands for all of their home meets in 2014.
