DENVER, COLO.- The University of Denver men's tennis team fell to No. 61 Arizona, 5-2 at CAC Inverness on Sunday.
The Pioneers were unable to win the doubles point after surrendering two of three doubles matches. Senior Jens Vorkefeld (Ostercappeln, Germany) and redshirt senior Max Krammer (Perchtoldsdorf, Austria) lead Frederik Ask and Sumeet Shinde 7-5 but were unable to finish.
In singles, Vorkefeld beat Ask 7-6, 6-2 at No.1 singles and senior Fabio Biasion (Velbert, Germany) defeated Shinde 6-1, 1-6, 6-3 to win his first singles match since returning to the lineup.
The Pioneers will travel to participate in the San Diego Invitational in San Diego, Calif. from Thurday, March 21 until Saturday, March 23. A start time is still to be determined.
