DENVER- Lacrosse season is right around the corner and the Denver Pioneer Women’s lacrosse team is ranked 20th in the nation.
Now it is time to get your Pioneers players. The Freshman class features seven players for the Crimson and Gold; Kennedy Milburn, Kate Fischer, Nicole Martindale, Hanna Bocket, Delia Snediker, Catlin Derry, and Riley Eggeman.
The freshmen have answered a few questions so everyone can get to know them better.
1. Why did you choose the University of Denver?
Fischer: I chose Denver for their excellent academic and athletic programs.

and getting to play lacrosse here makes it even more amazing.
Snediker: I chose Denver for its strong academics, competitive lacrosse program, and beautiful mountain location.
Sutton: For not only the beautiful landscape but also the team and academics. Good vibes here.
Derry: One reason I chose DU was because I really wanted to explore outside of California but I also wanted a lacrosse schedule that would allow my family to travel to games without having to go across the country every game.
Martindale: I choose Denver because I loved the city and the small school atmosphere.
Bocket: I chose Denver because of its well-respected academics, competitive athletics and beautiful area. Another big factor was how welcoming the girls on the team are.
Milburn: I chose Denver because I have family here and grew up travelling to Colorado a lot and fell in love with it here. The campus, school, and lacrosse team are all key reasons why I came here.
