ELMHURST, Ill. ââ'¬" University of Denver junior men's soccer right back Reagan Dunk (Dallas, Texas) has been named the Summit League Defensive Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.
Dunk assisted junior Karsten Hanlin's (Centennial, Colo.) game-winning goal in the Pioneers' 1-0 victory over Omaha on Saturday. Dunk also helped anchor Denver's backline that held the Mavericks to just four shots on goal on DU's way to its seventh clean sheet of the campaign.
Monday's award is Dunk's second Summit League Defensive Player of the Week award in both the 2015 campaign and in his career.
Denver is one of two unbeaten teams left in Division I, and is up to No. 7 in the latest NCAA RPI, tying the program's highest ranking in history (9/28/15). DU (11-0-2) is also No. 7 in this week's College Soccer News poll and No. 8 in the Top Drawer Soccer poll that were both released on Monday morning.
