Denver enters the game against South Dakota having won six of their last nine home games and are 4-3 at Magness Arena in Summit League action this season and 9-5 all-time at home in Summit League play. The Pioneers are currently in 6th place in The Summit League with a 5-7 league record. South Dakota defeated Denver 86-52 on Jan. 28 in Vermillion, S.D.

In their previous matchup, four Pioneers scored in double figures withPaige Bradley (The Woodlands, Texas) leading the way with 14 points, five rebounds and four assists. Sophomore Alecia Espinoza (Hacienda Heights, Calif.) turned in an outstanding performance with 12 points and nine rebounds. Senior Jordan Johnston (Waterloo, Iowa) and sophomore Jacqlyn Poss (Shoreview, Minn.) each tallied 10 points.

The Pioneers attack offensively primarily from the perimeter. Their trio of experienced guards carries the scoring load for DU. Denver averages seven 3-pointers a game and shoots 34 percent from downtown.

Bradleyleads the Pioneers in scoring (13 ppg), assists (4 apg) and 3-point shooting percentage (45%). Senior captain Morgan Van Riper-Rose (Eden Prairie, Minn.) sits in 12th place on the Pioneers all-time scoring list with 1,266 career points. Van Riper-Rose will be making her 102nd career start on Wednesday.

Scouting the Coyotes (20-5, 10-2 Summit): South Dakota comes into Wednesday's game riding a five-game winning streak and has won nine of their last 10 games. The Coyotes are currently in first place in The Summit League standings with a 10-2 record.

In the previous matchup against Denver, four players scored in double figures for South Dakota. Tia Hemiller and Lisa Loeffler led the way with 13 points each. Guard Raeshel Contreras finished with 12 points and Nicole Seekamp recorded 10 points.

On the season, Contreras leads the way in scoring for the Coyotes, averaging 16 points a game. Seekamp has the most assists (5 apg) for the Coyotes and Margaret McCloud is tops on the team in rebounding (6 rpg).

Leaving a Legacy: This season will mark the last for three Denver seniors, who were honored before the Pioneers game against IPFW on Saturday, Feb. 14. Jordan Johnston, Morgan Van Riper-Rose, and Theresa Wirth have had a lasting impact on the Denver women's basketball program. All three will leave their names in the record books.

Wednesday Feb. 11 against SDSU was the 100th career start for Van Riper-Rose who is currently third all-time in Pioneer program history with 223 3-pointers. She also sits in 12th place on the all-time scoring list with 1,266 points and sits atop of the free throw percentage list, hitting 83 percent of her free throws in her career.

Johnston is in seventh on the 3-point field goals made list with 121 makes and is a 75 percent free throw shooter for her career. Johnston is currently fourth in games played with 119. She's recorded 810 points, 293 rebounds and 110 assists in her 2,384 minutes played as a Pioneer.

Wirth is tied for 10th in career field goal percentage with an average of 51 percent. In her 82 games she has scored 538 points and pulled in 344 rebounds.
