March 30, 2015 DENVER-University of Denver women's lacrosse redshirt freshman Nicole Martindale (Brooklin, Ontario) has been named Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Rookie of the Week the MPSF announced on Monday. Â
Martindale came back after missing two games due to injury to record a hat trick and added three assists in the Pioneers' 13-6 victory over Dartmouth on March 24. She has scored 14 goals and added five assists in six games this season. This is the third time this season that Martindale has been named MPSF Rookie of the Week.
Denver will wrap up its current seven-game homestand with a pair of Mountain Pacific Sports Federation games against No. 13/11 Stanford (April 3/3 p.m. MT) and UC Davis (April 5/1 p.m. MT).
For the second-consecutive season, Denver will host the MPSF Championship from April 30-May 3 at Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium. Tickets to this event are currently available for purchase at the University of Denver ticket office.
