INDIANAPOLIS, IND. -- The No. 42 Denver men's tennis team (16-7, 6-0 Summit League) completed the weekend road sweep Sunday morning with a, 5-2 victory over IUPUI (9-16, 4-2 Summit League) at the West Indy Racquet Club. The Pioneers have a two match lead in the Summit League heading into their last weekend of the regular season.

Denver took the doubles point with wins on one and two. The Pioneers have now won 11 of their last 12 doubles points. The No. 30 pairing of junior Henry Craig and sophomore Alex Gasson have now won six straight together with their win today over Patrick O'Neill and Adam Reinhart. The sophomore tandem of Yannik James and Diogo Rocha earned their 13^th win of the season together with an, 8-3 win on court two.

"We had a very tough and long weekend with three matches in three days," said Assistant Coach Drew Eberly. "I was proud of the way our guys competed throughout the weekend."

IUPUI gave Denver a fight in the singles, but the Pioneers would clinch the match victory before any damage was done. No. 107 Craig earned his seventh straight set victory of the season on court one, 6-4, 6-2 over Jac Newis. No. 102 Rocha earned his 17^th singles victory of the year over Reinhart.

James dropped Akshay Verma, 6-0, 7-5 on court five, while freshman Wyatt Lovera also earned a straight set victory on court six over Marcus Nalley.

"Hopefully this weekend made us tougher as we head into the post season," said Eberly.

Denver will return home to face No. 45 New Mexico on Friday, April 17. The match will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the Stapleton Tennis Pavilion.
