ABOUT DENVER - The Pioneers are 10-4 this season and 5-2 in MPSF play. Denver is led by Jill Remenapp who has 17 goals and 31 assists, while Nicole Martindale leads the team with 27 goals.
ABOUT OREGON - The Ducks come into Sunday's game with an 10-5 record and 4-3 in MPSF play. Oregon has been off since defeating UC Davis on the road in its last game on Sunday, April 12, 10-7. Oregon is led by Carly O'Connell who has 29 goals and 15 assists in 15 games played this season. Olivia Pyne has 33 goals and seven assists through 15 games, while Cambi Cukar has six goals and 34 assists.
LAST MEETING - This is the 15th meeting between the schools. Denver defeated Oregon last season 18-9 at Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium on May 2, 2014 in the MPSF Tournament. Denver leads the alltime series 11-3.
O' CAPTAIN MY CAPTAIN - The Pioneers have tabbed four seniors as their captains this season; Hannah Hook, Kiki Boone, Jill Remenapp, and Chelsea Cook.
RETURNERS - The Pioneers return seven starters from last year's NCAA Tournament squad, including goalkeeper Hannah Hook. Jill Remenapp led the Pioneers in assists and finished second in the NCAA last season. Rachael McKinnon returns for her junior season; McKinnon's sophomore season featured 53 total points, including 51 goals.
TEWAARATON WATCH LIST - Both Jill Remenapp and Hannah Hook were named to the Tewaaraton Award Watch List. The award is given to the nation's top player.
DISHING IT OUT - Senior captain Jill Remenapp became the all-time leader in points at the University of Denver on April 5, 2015, passing former teammate Kara Secora. The Woodbrine, Md., native currently sits with 290 career points, which is also third among active players in the NCAA. Remenapp ranks first in Pioneer history in assists in a single season with 74 in 2013. Last season, Remenapp racked up 51 assists. Currently the senior stands second on the all time assists leaders list in NCAA History with 184. Remenapp was voted All-America Second Team last season and was All-West First Team.
MINDING THE NET - Redshirt senior Hannah Hook is back as the Pioneers goalkeeper. Hook has started every game for the Pioneers this season and recorded 104 saves. Hook tallied 171 saves last season in the net for the Pios. Her 190 saves in 2013 ranks third all time in Pioneers history.
