Denver up Three Spots to No. 12 in NSCAA Poll

DENVER -
The University of Denver men's soccer team checked in at No. 12 in Tuesday's National Soccer Coaches' Association of America Poll. Denver also remained No. 1 in the NSCAA West Regional Poll.

On Monday, the Pioneers moved up five spots to No. 12 in the College Soccer News poll, and moved from No. 21 to No. 16 this week in the Top Drawer Soccer poll that was also released on Monday.

DU's No. 10 ranking in this week's Soccer America Poll is the highest national ranking in program history, in any poll. The Pioneers No. 12 ranking in the NSCAA poll, is its highest in the coaches' poll in program history.

Denver is coming off a perfect weekend after a 1-0 win at [RV/16] Saint Louis on Friday and a 2-1 extra-time win over [RV/RV] Utah Valley on Sunday night at CIBER Field.

DU goalkeeper Dan Jackson (Chapel Hill, N.C.) was named the Summit League Defensive Player of the Week on Monday.

UP NEXT:The Pioneers will begin Summit League play on Saturday afternoon when Denver heads to 2014 Summit League runner-up Western Illinois. Kickoff is set for 12 p.m. MT.
