Summit League Release
DENVER - University of Denver sophomore Jessica Dreesbeimdieke (Windhoek, Namibia) was named The Summit League Women's Golfer of the week, the league office announced on Wednesday.
"Very proud of Jessica's [Dreesbeimdieke] performance this week," head coach Lindsay Kuhle said. "She showed some great confidence and competitiveness during this tournament, which was great to see. She keeps improving and gaining confidence in her long game and putting. I am so proud of the way she accepts a challenge and is such a quick learner. Very well deserved for her because of the work she has put in mentally, physically and technically."
Dreesbeimdieke finished in a tie for 27th shooting a 229 (71-78-80) at the Bruin Wave Invitational hosted by UCLA and Pepperdine. The sophomore averaged a 76.3 against another strong field.
This is the first career Summit League Golfer of the Week honor for the DU sophomore.
Denver returns to the greens on Sunday, Mar. 20 as they head to Baton Rouge, La. for the LSU Tiger Classic. The three-round tournament will be held at the University Club.
