MEDIA INFORMATION
The game will be broadcast on Altitude TV with Brad Thompson and Megan Zeman on the call. Live stats will be available on GameTracker. The game will also be streamed on Pioneer Vision.

LAST TIME OUT
Denver dropped a 9-6 decision to [6/7] USC. Defense was the star of the show for DU, holding the Trojans to their lowest offensive output of the season. Maddy Stevenson made nine saves and picked up a career-high five groundballs, while Hunter Gray caused a career-high four turnovers for the second-straight game.

ABOUT DENVER
The Pioneers hold a 5-8 record on the seaosn and are 2-4 in the MPSF going into their final three games. Senior captain Christa Reese leads DU with 33 points, including a team-high 27 goals.

ABOUT CALIFORNIA
Cal is 3-10 on the season and 1-5 in the MPSF. Three Bears have at least 21 points, with two scoring at least 18 goals and Jena Fritts dishing a team-high 17 assists.

LAST MEETING
Denver holds a slight advantage over Cal with a 12-10 all-time record. This will be the 23rd meeting between the teams, with the Pioneers winning 17-5 a year ago.

ROOKIES OF THE WEEK
Kendra Lanuza was named the MPSF Rookie of the Week for the first week of play in 2016. Lanuza recorded three goals and five assists in the first two games of the season. Elizabeth Behrins picked up the second MPSF Rookie of the Week award for the Pioneers for her first career hat trick and two assists in the 11-5 victory over Marquette.

DOMINATING ON D
The women's lacrosse team has held its opponent to three goals in two of its wins this season. This is the first time the Pioneers have allowed three goals or fewer in two games since the 2010 season.

OPENING UP
DU lost its second-straight season opener with its first lost to Colorado in school history.
O' CAPTAIN MY CAPTAIN
The Pioneers have tabbed three seniors as their captains this season. Emily Conway, Sarah Kasun and Reese will serve as captains.

WELCOME ABOARD
Denver adds eight freshmen to the 2016 roster: Behrins, Maddie Baum, Julia Feiss, Kate Knott, Lanuza, Caroline Lewis, Audrey Schreck and Nicki Wilkinson. DU also welcomes new additions in Bailey Dunning, Katy Miele and Kendall Mulvaney.

MCKINNON CAN
Senior attacker Rachael McKinnon has played in 72 games in her career, racking up 113 goals in that time. The senior ranks 36th among active NCAA DI players for goals in a career. McKinnon tallied a career-high 51 goals in her sophomore season for the Pioneers.

SAVING STEVENSON
The junior goalie started the final two games of the 2015, earning her first career win in the MPSF quarterfinals. Stevenson has played in 25 games for DU, recording 116 saves in her career. Stevenson's 8.37 goals against average ranks 26th among NCAA DI players.

DEFENDING DENVER
All-MPSF first team member Layne Voorhees will be guiding the Pioneer defense. Voorhees has played in 52 games, causing 53 turnovers and picking up 82 groundballs in her career. Voorhees has tied her career-high five groundballs twice this season. Denver's defense also returns Conway, Gray, Kennedy Milburn, Brooklyn Batey and Sybil Pallace.

FRESH STARTS
Five freshmen have made their way into the starting lineup for the Pioneers for at least four games. Wilkinson has made nine starts; Lanuza has started eight games; Behrins and Feiss have started six games; and Schreck has made five starts.

A LEAGUE OF THEIR OWN
Since joining the MPSF in 2003, Denver has gone 67-15 in conference play and 57-10 in 10 seasons under head coach Liza Kelly.
