Golf Finishes Day Two of Warrior Princeville Makai Invitational

Denver shoots 5-over in second round on Monday
PRINCEVILLE, Hawaii – The University of Denver Golf team closed out day two of the Warrior Princeville Makai Invitational on Monday. The Pioneers fired a team score 5-over for the round.
Par at the Makai Golf Club at Princeville was 72.
No. 11 Pepperdine remained in the lead after 36 holes of play at 19-under in the 20-team field, four strokes ahead of Missouri.
Head coach Erik Billinger went with the lineup of Esteban Missura, Eric Hagen, Roy Kang, Cal McCoy and Carson Griggs.
Sophomores Jackson Solem and John Sand also competed, but as individuals.
Hagen stayed consistent with a par-effort for a second straight day, jumping into a tie for 38th.
Missura, McCoy and Griggs each finished up tied for 61st at 3-over through two rounds.
Kang really saw improvement on Monday, firing a 74.
Sand wrapped up his day with a 4-over to close in a tie for 53rd.
Solem put up a 75 for a second day in a row.
Final round is set for Tuesday.
