DENVER - After securing its first RMISA Championship since 2007, the University of Denver's ski team earned its fifth, sixth and seventh RMISA Skier of the Week honors on Tuesday.

Scoring the accolades this week was Kristine Aasberg who took first in the RMISA Giant Slalom Qualifier in a run of 2:00.45. Meanwhile, at the RMISA Championships, Amelia Smart and Eivind Kvaale took the awards. Smart skied for first in the Slalom and 12th in the Giant Slalom, while Kvaale took first in the Nordic Freestyle and second in the Classic.

Skiers of the Week are chosen using NCAA qualification points for each race. Ties are broken based on lowest combined time for the races in that discipline. Associate/non-NCAA members are not eligible. A skier can only win the award once per season.

The DU threesome follows teammates Tuva Norbye, Linn Eriksen, Dag Frode Trolleboe and Andrea Komsic in holding the title.

The Pioneers take to Steamboat Springs on March 7 for the NCAA Championships.
