LOOKING BACK TO LAST TIME OUT
• [-/19] Denver fell to Florida in the BIG EAST Championship by the score of 18-6.
• Cailtin Derry scored the first two goals of the game for the Pioneers and finished with a team-high two goals and two points.
• Kendra Lanuza was credited with the team's only assist.
• Maddie Baum had a game-high eight draw controls, bringing her season total to 94, which set a school record for most in a single-season.
• Riley Eggeman had a team-high three caused turnovers.
•In net, Carson Gregg had another10 saves. It was the seventh game this season that the sophomore has reached double digits in saves. She also had a team- and career-high five ground balls and career-high two caused turnovers.
• The Gators had the edge in shots at 37-23 (28-15 in shots on goal), as well as an 11-9 advantage in caused turnovers and 30-22 in ground balls. Denver was a perfect 16-for-16 in clears, bringing its tournament total to 36-of-36, and won the draw control battle by a margin of 15 to 11.
HISTORY VS HIGH POINT
•The Pioneers are 2-0 versus the Panthers, with wins in 2013 and 2014.
• In their last meeting on March 20, 2014, Jenn Etzel scored two goals and made one of her two assists in the final minutes, sparking a 10-7 comeback victory over High Point.
• Redshirt junior goalkeeper Hannah Hook (now an assistant coach with the Pioneers) made 11 saves and also picked up an assist in the game.
• Denver led 6-4 at halftime, but High Point scored three goals in the first 4:01 of the second half to take a 7-6 advantage. Denver closed out the game with the final four goals, holding High Point the final 25:59 without a goal.
SCOUTING THE PANTHERS
• High Point went 10-2 in non-conference play while going 7-0 in Big South competition, winning both the regular season and tournament titles.
• High Point's two losses this season were to then-No. 7 North Carolina (14-10) and then-No. 8/6 James Madison (13-11).
• They have two wins over ranked teams, defeating then-No. 21 Notre Dame (13-7) and then-No. 19 Duke (16-12).
• The Panthers have not played any neutral games this year.
• HPU leads the nation in free-position percentage (.573), is second in scoring defense (8.0), third in scoring margin (8.37) and caused turnovers per game (12.63), seventh in points per game (23.74) and shots per game (35.21), tied for seventh in assists per game (7.37) and eighth in shots on goal per game (26.16).
• Of their 311 goals, 75 were on free-position shots, 14 were on man-up opportunities, 3 were on man-down and 170 were unassisted. They have outscored their opponents 311-152.
• Abby Hormes leads the Panthers with 58 goals, while Brooke Stevens has a team-high 49 assists and 85 points.
• Samantha Herman leads the team with 78 draw controls and Erica Perrotta has a team-high 40 caused turnovers, 38 ground balls and 18 free-position goals.
• Jill Rall has started in all 19 games for HPU, allowing 126 goals and making 101 saves on 316 shots faced in 865:53 minutes in net. She has a goals allowed average of 8.73 and a save percentage of .445. Sarah Zeto (275:03 minutes, 26 goals allowed, 30 saves, .536 save %, 5.67 G.A.A) has played in 12 games.
• As a unit, the goaltenders are allowing 152 goals with 131 saves on 391 shots faced, for a save % of .463 and a G.A.A. of 7.99.
• Rall's 8.73 GAA ranks fifth in the NCAA, Stevens' 49 assists ranks eighth, Hormes is shooting .586, which ranks seventh and Perrotta has a .667 free-position percentage to rank ninth in the country.
DENVER'S SCHEDULE
• The Pioneers have played or will face six opponents on their schedule who were ranked in the latest media poll and US Lacrosse Magazine rankings, and seven teams ranked in the IWLCA poll, with wins against current [11/10/11] Stanford, [15/15/14] Colorado and [21/19] Georgetown.
HISTORY VS RANKED TEAMS
• Denver is 14-40 all-time against ranked teams, 7-10 in the last five years.
NCAA TOURNAMENT HISTORY
• This will be Denver's third appearance in the NCAA Tournament and the first since 2014.
• Denver made the tournament in 2013 and 2014, both times falling in the second round to Florida after defeating Jacksonville in the first round.
NEUTRAL SITE GAMES
• Denver is 20-30 all-time in neutral-site games.
• DU's last neutral-site game was May 3, 2018 against Georgetown in the BIG EAST semifinals in Gainesville, in which the Pioneers won 12-7.

• The Denver roster features seven players and a coach who are from the state of Maryland, as well as our director of operations who attended college in Maryland (Loyola Maryland).
• Leanne Duncan (West Friendship, Md.), Julia Feiss (Baltimore, Md.), Carson Gregg (Severna Park, Md.), Rachel Karwacki (Sparks, Md.), Kate Knott (Lutherville, Md.), Caroline Lewis (Baltimore, Md.), Laura Milleker (Severna Park, Md.) and assistant coach Hannah Hook (Arnold, Md.) all come from Maryland.
FINDING NEW CONTRIBUTORS
• This season, freshmen Quintin Hoch-Bullen and Eliza Radochonski have accounted for 57 goals and 88 points, including hat tricks from Radochonski against Stanford, UConn and Florida and seven hat tricks from Hoch-Bullen against Niagara, Temple, UConn, Colorado, Cincinnati, Marquette, and Florida, including four-straight.
• As a class, freshmen have tallied 108 pts (70 G, 38 A).
Hoch-Bullen (16) and Radochonski (15) are second and third, respectively, on the team in assists. Hoch-Bullen is second in goals (36), points (52) and free-position goals (11). Radochonski is third in free-position goals (4), and fifth in goals (19) and points (36).
• Bea Behrins had her first career hat trick against Villanova.
• Caroline Wiseman scored her first career goal against San Diego State, Hannah Liddy scored her first goal against Niagara, and Bea Behrins and Sammie Morton both scored their first collegiate goal against Butler.
• Sophomore transfer Molly Little has scored 13 goals and added three assists, and is second on the team with 49 draw controls, starting in 16 games for the Crimson and Gold.
• Maddie Baum has taken the majority of the draws, recording 94, the most draw controls by an individual in a single-season in school history.
• Besides Carson Gregg in net, freshman midfielder Caroline Wiseman started in her first career collegiate game against Stanford, as did Maddie Baum, and Molly Litlle started her first game as a Pioneer against Louisville. Katy Miele started her first game against Temple and Amelia Cole made her first appearance in net against Butler, with four saves and one goal allowed in 33:38 minutes (1.78 GAA, .800 save %).
MILESTONE ALERT
• Elizabeth Behrins became the 18th player to reach the 100 career point milestone in the second half of the Colorado game, and the second Pioneer to reach it this season (Kendra Lanuza reached it Feb. 23).
• Julia Feiss became the latest Pioneer to record 100 career points with a free-position goal in the first half against Georgetown.
• With the win against Colorado, Liza Kelly recorded her 150th win as the head coach at Denver.
• Carson Gregg recorded the 100th save of her career in the second half against Marquette.
• Maddie Baum's 94 draw controls this season broke the school record, achieving one more draw control than Ellie Knott who had the school record with 93 last year.
SMOOTH TRANSITION
• This is Denver's second year in the BIG EAST after spending 13 seasons as a member of the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation.
• DU advanced to the BIG EAST Championship game against Florida in its first year in the conference after going 7-2 in the regular season and defeating Georgetown 9-8 in the semifinals.
• This year, the Pioneers had the same path in the BIG EAST Tournament, defeating Georgetown but losing to Florida in the final.
• Denver owns a 21-15 record against BIG EAST opponents, having faced Vanderbilt the most (eight times, 5-3 record), but is still searching for its first win against Florida (0-7).
2018 BIG EAST
• Denver was picked to finish second in the BIG EAST Preseason Poll with 73 total points and one first-place vote.
• DU had two representatives on the Preseason All-BIG EAST Team in junior attackers Julia Feiss and Kendra Lanuza (unanimous selection).
• Carson Gregg earned BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week in weeks one, two and seven, and Julia Feiss was named Attacker of the Week in week five. Quintin Hoch-Bullen was named Freshman of the Week in weeks seven and eight and Kendra Lanuza won the final Attacker of the Week award of the season.
• Quintin Hoch-Bullen was named Co-Freshman of the Year while also earning All-BIG EAST Second Team. Julia Feiss and Kennedy Milburn earned All-BIG EAST First Team and Maddie Baum joined Hoch-Bullen on the second team.
• Maddie Baum, Elizabeth Behrins and Caitlin Derry were named to the All-BIG EAST Tournament Team.
• Denver is second in the BIG EAST in goals against average (9.89) with a league-low 178 goals allowed, is third in save percentage (.454), fourth in fewest turnovers per game (16.47) and fifth in caused turnovers per game (9.82).
OTHER NEWS AND NOTES
• Julia Feiss enters the game on a 30-game goal streak, dating back to March 12, 2017 versus Vermont.
