GLASGOW, Scotland – Recent graduate
Anton Loncar (Hillsboro, Ore.) finished 13
th in the 200 back semifinals with a time of 1:59.86 at the 2018 European Championships on Tuesday at the Tollcross Swimming Centre.
The two-year All-American improved on his prelims time of 2:00.11 by 0.25 seconds in the semifinal.
Loncar's swim concludes a busy summer that saw six Denver LCM records fall. Rising sophomore
Aysia Leckie (Georgetown, Ontario) broke DU's LCM record in the 200 free (2:02.52/2018 Canadian Pan Pac Trails), Loncar snapped the 100 back (55.39/2018 European Championships) and the 200 back (1:59.86/2018 European Championships) records, rising sophomore
Adriel Sanes (Rosharon, Texas) broke the 50 (29.22/2018 CAC Games) and 100 breast (1:03.71/2018 CAC Games) records and
Stephen Calkins (Calgary, Alberta) cracked the 50 fly record (24.19/2018 Canadian Nationals).
