DENVER – Following the University of Denver men's soccer team's 3-2 victory over nationally ranked Washington last Thursday, the Pioneers have moved up three spots to No. 2 in the Top Drawer Soccer Top-25. [19/2] Denver will be in action tonight as the Pioneers head to [RV/-] SMU for their first road match of the 2018 campaign.
Senior striker
Andre Shinyashiki (Sao Paulo, Brazil) finished his fourth goal of the early season in the side netting in the 103
rd minute to send the then- [19/5] Pioneers past then-[3/18] Washington 3-2 in extra time on Thursday night at the University of Denver Soccer Stadium.
Senior transfer
Moshe Perez (Shim'a, Israel) was involved in all three goals for the Pioneers, playing a free kick into a dangerous area on the Denver breakthrough, scoring the 77
th minute equalizer to bring DU level after trailing 2-1, and slipping in senior winger
Kenny Akamatsu (Niigata, Japan) in the 103
rd minute to setup the Shinyashiki winner.

The Pioneers will hit the road for the only time in the first seven matches of the 2018 season on Monday as Denver takes on SMU. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. MT.
