DENVER –  For the second straight week, the No. 1 Denver Pioneers men's hockey team (6-0-0, 0-0-0-0) maintained their spot atop the USCHO.com and USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine polls.
 
The Pioneers earned 996 points and 47 first-place votes in the USCHO.com poll on a ballot submitted by 50 voters, including coaches, beat writers and sports professionals from across the country. Minnesota State ranked 2^nd with 948 points and three first-place votes, while UMass Amherst ranked third with 824 points. View the complete USCHO.com poll here.
 
Denver earned 510 points and 34 first-place votes in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll conducted in conjunction with the American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) with input from coaches and members of the media from each of the six Division I college hockey conferences as well as officers of the AHCA and USA Hockey. Minnesota State ranked 2^nd in the poll with 466 points, while Cornell ranked 3^rd with 341 points. View the complete USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll here.
 
The National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC) had five teams ranked in the USCHO poll: Denver (1), Minnesota Duluth (8), St. Cloud State (14), North Dakota (16) and Western Michigan (18). The NCHC had three teams ranked in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll: Denver (1), Minnesota Duluth (8) and St. Cloud State (14).
