SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – University of Denver junior captain
Jacob Stensson (Stockholm, Sweden) has been named the Summit League Defensive Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.
Stensson scored the game-winner, knocking home his own rebound from the penalty spot, while helping a Denver defense that limited Omaha to just three shots on target on a windy Saturday night at the University of Denver Soccer Stadium.
With the win, Denver moved up to fourth in the Summit League standings, with a trip to Purdue Fort Wayne left on the November league calendar.
