DENVER – The University of Denver women's basketball team is ranked 22nd in the Women's Mid-Major Preseason Top-25 Poll, CollegeInsider.com announced Tuesday.

Denver finished 18-14 overall last season and 10-6 in the Summit League. The Crimson and Gold finished third in the Summit League standings and advanced to the second round of the WNIT.

Head coach Jim Turgeon returns three starters, including seniors Lauren Loven and Madison Nelson who were selected to the Summit League Preseason First-Team.

The Pioneers open the season on Tuesday in Kansas City, Missouri at 4 p.m. (MT) against the Roos.
