Pioneers Set to Open Summit League Play

The Denver Pioneers men's tennis team (4-2, 0-0) is set to open Summit League play on Sunday, Feb. 17 against Valparaiso.

Denver enters the match undefeated on its home court, sweeping Northern Colorado, Colorado State and Air Force, 7-0. Mattia Ros enters the weekend 4-1 at No. 1 singles, while Ignatius Castelino is 5-0 on the No. 5 and No. 6 courts and Pedro Fernandez del Valle is 4-0 at the No. 2 & No. 3 courts.  In doubles play, the Ros/Fernandez del Valle and Daniel Krulig/Eric Morris tandems are 4-0.

Valparaiso is 3-1 this season. First serve is set for 10 a.m.
