PEORIA, Ariz. – The University of Denver golf team gets its first spring tournament of the year underway on Sunday, heading down to Arizona to for the Westbrook Invitational. Rounds one and two are set for Sunday at the Westbrook Village Golf Course.

Par for the 6.252-yard course is 72.

The 16-team field is set feature a number of talented teams from all over, including host Wisconsin.

Head coach Lindsay Kuhle will go with the lineup of Sophie Newlove, Mary Weinstein, Camille Enright, Trussy Li and Alyson Bean.
Anni Heck will also compete, but as an individual.

Enright will carry a special bag in honor of former Navy SEAL Danny Dietz for the tournament. The bag has been a tradition this year as part of the Folds of Honor program in which one Pioneer player in every tournament is elected by teammates and coaches to carry the bag.

Newlove looks to keep her solid start to the spring season going after capturing Summit League Women's Golfer of the Week honors back on Jan. 30.

Weinstein leads the Summit League with the lowest scoring average at 72.46.
