The No. 40 Denver Pioneers women's tennis team (8-2, 0-0) fell to No. 30 Central Florida, 5-2, on Saturday in Orlando, Fla.
Despite the loss, the Pioneers had a pair of come-from-behind upsets on the singles courts with No. 91
Bianca Mok defeating No. 29 Valeriya Zeleva 0-6, 6-0, 7-6 (7-2) at No. 1 and
Tatum Burger topping No. 119 Marie Mattel 2-6, 6-3, 6-3 at No. 4.
Denver's only losses of the season have come to ranked opponents, also falling to No. 7 Pepperdine at the ITA Kick Off on Jan. 27. The Pioneers are set to return the court on Friday, March 1 at Rice.
