AUSTIN, Texas – University of Denver men's swimmer
Cameron Auchinachie (Binghamton, N.Y.) finished 16th with a 19.37 in the 50 free on Thursday night in the 2019 NCAA Men's Swimming and Diving Championships at the Lee & Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center.
Auchinachie finished 13
th in this morning's prelims with a school-record 19.13. The 13
th place finish in the prelims was the highest finish in the 50 free at the NCAAs since Denver rejoined Division I in 1999, 11 spots higher than teammate
Sid Farber's finish a year ago. With the All-America swim this morning, Auchinachie became the 10
th different individual to earn the honor in Denver's DI history, including the fifth since Denver rejoined DI in 1999.
