Katherine Fischer brought home two of the four BIG EAST honors, the conference announced Tuesday. Liddy earned BIG EAST Attacker of the Week, her second this season, and Fischer was named BIG EAST Defender of the Week.
Liddy had an unbelievable weekend for the Pioneers, totaling two goals and eight assists for a career high 10 points. Her eight assists rank second in the Denver individual game record book while her 10 points are tied for fourth. The New Jersey native leads the team with 31 assists and 43 points in 11 games, also accumulating 12 goals on the year.
Fischer earned her first BIG EAST honor after limiting the Old Dominion offense to just one goal on Saturday, tallying one draw and one caused turnover to lead the Pioneers to their ninth win of the season. The senior superstar has totaled 23 ground balls, 16 caused turnovers and two draws on the year.
The Pioneers are back in action this Saturday, April 6 against Georgetown in Washington D.C. at 10 a.m. MT.
