Denver Sets Sight on Summit League Championship

Round one set to begin on Sunday
DENVER – University of Denver Golf team is set for the Summit League Championship this weekend. The 54-hole event is set to begin on Sunday at the Sand Creek Station Golf Club.
Par for the 6,931-yard course is 72.
Head coach Erik Billinger is going with the lineup of Cal McCoy, Esteban Missura, John Sand, Eric Hagen and Carson Griggs.
The Pioneers come into the tournament after a strong showing at the BYU, taking fifth in the 15-team field last week.
Sand and Missura head into the tournament hot, sharing the most recent Summit League Golfer of the Week award, the first team either has won the award in their careers.
