DENVER – The No. 16 University of Denver women's lacrosse team will welcome Fresno State on Thursday, April 11 at 2 p.m. MT for its final non-conference matchup of the regular season. The Pioneers are 10-2 (2-0 BIG EAST) on the year, having defeated Old Dominion on March 30 and No. 22 Georgetown on April 6. The Bulldogs are 7-5 (0-1 MPSF) this season, most recently having lost to UC Davis 19-10 on Saturday.
The Crimson and Gold continue to stand strong in the NCAA statistics, ranking No. 1 in assists per game (9.42) and scoring defense (6.33) for the second week in a row.
Quintin Hoch-Bullen leads the team with 35 goals on 69 shots this season,
Hannah Liddy checks to the top of the leader board with 33 assists on the year, ranked No. 8 in the nation, and
Maddie Baum has won 64 draw controls. Last year Baum set the Denver individual season record for 108 draws, and is currently tied at No. 4 with 64 this season.
The Pioneers have called Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium home since it's opening in 2005. They are just two wins away from clinching 100 total victories in the stadium, a feat they're hoping to inch closer to while hosting Fresno State on Thursday.
The Bulldogs come to the Mile High City on a two game losing streak, ranking No. 3 in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation.
