DU Set For Stanford NCAA Regional

Round 1 to tee off on Monday
DENVER – The University of Denver men's golf team gets ready to make its first NCAA Regional appearance in five years on Monday at NCAA Stanford Regional. Round one will get underway in the morning at the Stanford Golf Course.
This marks the first time since 2014 that DU will appear in the regional tournament.
The Crimson and Gold are coming off capturing the Summit League Championship back on Apr. 29 in Newton, Kan.
Par for the 6,727-yard course is 70.
Head coach Erik Billinger is going with the lineup of Cal McCoy, Esteban Missura, John Sand, Carson Griggs and Eric Hagen.
Arizona State received the No. 1 seed for the regional, followed by Stanford, LSU and North Carolina State.
Also joining the Crimson and Gold are North Carolina, South Florida, Kansas, Virginia, Ole Miss, Georgia Southern, UNC Greensboro and Augusta.
The top five teams and individual not on those teams will advance on the NCAA Championships.
The Pioneers are led by freshman Cal McCoy, who took home individual medalist honors at the Summit League Championship. McCoy, a Highlands Ranch native, was also an All-Summit League first-team selection in his debut season, leading DU with a 73.26 scoring average.
The first-team all-league selection also has four top-10 finishes this year, the most by a Pioneer player since the 2014-15 year.
