NAPOLI – University of Denver men's swimmer
Colin Gilbert (Kamloops, B.C.) finished 36
th in the 200 free with a time of 1:53.08 on Friday morning at the 30
th World University Games.
The Denver senior finished fifth in heat four of the event.

Gilbert finished the 2018-19 season 36
th in the country in the 500 free and 38
th in the 1650 free. In his junior campaign at the Summit League Championships in 2019, Gilbert won the 500 free, 200 free, 1650 free and was a member of the winning 400 free relay. At the 2019 CSCAA National Invitational, Gilbert finished 17
th in the 200 fly, seventh in the 200 free, second in the 1000 free and won the 1650 free.
To celebrate the milestone 30
th edition and 60
th anniversary of the World University Summer Games, the event returns to its first home, where it was originally held in Turin, Italy in 1969.
