Denver ended the half with two goals in the final 60 seconds of the half as Simmons netted his second of the campaign to make it 10-5 and Hannah scored his fourth of the half to make it 10-6.

Junior
Ted Sullivan (Tucson, Ariz.) and Simmons both found the back of the net in the first 3:23 of the fourth quarter to get the ball rolling the Pioneers way with their first 3-0 run of the game, but a Duke man-down stop and goals from Manown and Owen Caputo kept distance between the Blue Devils and Pioneers down the stretch.
