Messed Around And Nearly Got A Triple-Double
• Townsend had his best game as a Pioneer on Feb. 20 in a win against Oral Roberts.
• The sophomore from Dallas finished with 24 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists. just missing out on the first triple-double performance in the program's Division I era (1998-pres.).
• The nine assists were a new career high.
• It was the second double-double of the year for Townsend.
And They Always Say Congratulations
• Murkey was recognized for his terrific effort this past weekend, being named Summit League Co-Player of the Week on Feb. 17.
• It was the first time in his collegiate career he has won the award.
• Murkey became the first player since
Daniel Amigo won it back in January of 2017.
• Murkey posted averages of 35.0 points, 9.5 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 1.0 blocks in two road games.
The Day That Was Ade's
• Murkey turned in DU's greatest single-game performance on Feb. 14 at South Dakota State.
• The Minneapolis, Minn. native scored a career-high 42 points to go with 11 rebounds against the Jackrabbits.
• The 42 points set Denver's new Division I single-game record for points in a game.
• Murkey became just the eighth player since 2011 in all of the NCAA to record at least 42 points and 11 rebounds in a road game, joining former Summit League player Mike Daum.
The Dynamic Duo
• The combination of Townsend and Murkey have been a offensive force to witness this year for Denver.
• The duo is combining for 35.2 points per game, the highest for a duo in the Summit League.
The Long Ranger
• DU has at least one 3-pointer in 433 straight games, dating back to Feb. 2, 2006.
Rising Sophomore
• Townsend has been force during his sophomore season.
• The former Skyline native ranks tied for 17th out of all sophomores in the country in total points with 495.
