Denver Signs Metro State’s Logan Threatt to 2026-27 Roster

Bergstraser makes his 11th and final signing of the offseason

DENVER – The University of Denver men's basketball program has signed former Metro State guard Logan Threatt to its 2026-27 roster, head coach Tim Bergstraser announced on Wednesday.

Threatt played in 55 games across two seasons down the street at Metro State, making 46 starts and averaging 29.6 minutes per appearance. In his time with the Roadrunners, Threatt averaged 14.1 points and 3.7 rebounds per game. A season ago, the Belmont, North Carolina, native, averaged 16.6 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.6 assists per contest. Threatt had a career-high 28 in his penultimate game of the season on 9-of-16 shooting and 3-for-4 from beyond the arc.

Prior to his two seasons at Metro State, Threatt made 26 appearances in two seasons at Queens (DI – North Carolina).

This marks Bergstraser's 11th offseason signing, joining Oskar Wickström Stümer (April 17)Trey Cady (April 27), Baba Mbengue (May 7), CJ Hyland (May 8), Harry Bates (May 9)Kam Martin (May 9), Jordan Rogers (May 11), Charlie Dimmock (May 11), Spencer Mahoney (May 12) and Jaelen Nelson (May 13).

HONORS AND AWARDS:

All-RMAC Second Team (2025-26)…All-RMAC Honorable Mention (2024-25)…All-RMAC Academic Honor Roll (2024-25, 2025-26). 

2025-26 (JUNIOR AT METRO STATE):
Played in 26 games, making 23 starts…Averaged 16.6 points, 2.6 assists and 3.7 rebounds per game in 29.5 minutes played…Finished eighth in the RMAC in scoring…Finished second on the team in assists (67), steals (30) and three-pointers made (44)…Career-high 28 against the Colorado School of Mines on February 26.

2024-25 (SOPHOMORE AT METRO STATE):
Played in all 29 games, starting in 23…Averaged 29.6 minutes and 10.4 points per game…Scored a season-high 22 points against Regis…Shot 40.5% from the three-point line, including 5-of-6 from beyond the arc on 12/14/24 against Westminster…Pulled down 3.6 rebounds per game…Career-high 10 rebounds on against Northern New Mexico.

2023-24 (FRESHMAN AT QUEENS):
Appeared in 19 games on the season, averaging 9.5 minutes per game… Averaged 3.2 points, 0.6 rebounds, and 1.1 assists on the season… Poured in a career-high 14 points against FDU on November 22, 2023.

2022-23 (AT QUEENS):
Made seven appearances before missing the remainder of the season and taking a medical redshirt.

BEFORE QUEENS:
Two-time All-State honoree at Carmel Christian. ... Scored 1,769 career points. ... Led Cougars to a 2021-22 state championship. ... As a senior, averaged 12.6 points, 4.9 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 2.4 steals per game. ... Earned 2019-20 Southwestern AA Conference Player of the Year honors. 

PERSONAL:
Chose the University of Denver because it checked every box for him both on and off the court. Is excited about the opportunity to play at a higher level in the West Coast Conference, and the coaching staff made him feel that he was the right fit for what they are trying to build…Wants to play as basketball as long as his career will let him, before hopefully one day becoming a sports agent…Also enjoys listening to music and going fishing.
