The No. 34 Denver Pioneers women's tennis team (8-4, 0-0) earned its fourth sweep of the season on Friday, toppling Seattle 7-0 on Friday at the Denver Tennis Park.
Each doubles team took care of business with
Anna Riedmiller/
Camille Verden-Anderson winning 6-2 at #2,
Hada Chang/
Taylor Melville winning 6-1 at #1 and
Toni Nelson/
Alessia Truden emerging with a 6-1 win at #3.
In singles play, Riedmiller made it 2-0 with a 6-0, 6-1 win at #2,
Toni Nelson brought the Pioneers within a point of clinching with a 6-1, 6-1 win at #6 and
Hada Chang secured the win with a 6-1, 6-1 win at #5.
Britt Pursell (#3), Melville (#1) and
Tatum Burger (#4) won in straight sets on their courts after Denver had clinched the match.
Denver looks ahead to a road match at Colorado on Saturday, Feb. 29. First serve is set for 1 p.m. in Boulder, Colo.
