The University of Denver women's volleyball team has added outside hitter Erica Andrich for the upcoming season, head coach
Tom Hogan announced on Wednesday.
Andrich joins the Pioneers as a graduate student from Vallada Agordina, Italy. The 6'1" Italian previously played for ASD Volley Limana, leading the team with an average of 20 kills per match last season. She ranked third in the national championship with Bruel Volley Bassano in 2013-14 and was later selected to participate in a national team tryout.
Academically, Andrich attended Accademia di Belle Arti of Verona and is pursuing a career in marketing.Â
"We are very excited to have Erica join our Pioneer family," Hogan said. "Erica is a physical athlete who will bring a lot of offensive firepower to our team. She led her team in kills in Italy and has tons of high-level playing experience. We are excited about the impact she can make on our team."
