DENVER – The University of Denver men's and women's swimming and diving programs dropped their season openers to BYU on Friday evening at El Pomar Natatorium.

Meet Highlights
Denver took three of the top four spots in the first distance swim of the night, the women's 1000 free. Daniela Alfaro took second with a 10:48.47, followed behind a 10:57.30 from Angie Lindsay and an 11:04.84 from Izzy Smith to take third and fourth, respectively.
Aysia Leckie claimed Denver's lone event win of the evening with her 24.16 in the 50 free.
Denver didn't win the women's 100 free, but did take the next three spots with Ines Marin (54.29), Livi Schmid (54.97) and Maggie McHugh (55.33) finishing second through fourth.
