Enright Ties for Third as Pioneers Finish Match in the Desert

Senior locks up first top-five finish of the year
GOLD CANYON, ARIZ. – The University of Denver women's golf team closed out its first tournament of the 2021 on Monday with the final round of the Match in the Desert. The Pioneers posted a team score 306 (18-over) on the day to finish in third place.
Significant Stats:
- Arizona State took home the team title with a final score of 577.
- The Pioneers finished two strokes ahead of powerhouse UCLA in round two, and just three strokes behind overall in the two-day event to the Bruins.
Inside the Round for the Pioneers:
- Camille Enright closed out her first tournament of the spring tied for third at even par (144).
- Katarina Drocarova shot a 4-over in the second round, putting her in a tie for seventh in her first collegiate tournament.
- Anna Zanusso wrapped up her tournament in 11th at 6-over.
- Anna Krekling shot a 76 for second straight day to tie for 12th.
- Erika Danielsson placed 17th.
Head Coach Lindsay Kuhle Quotes:
"I am incredibly proud of the way the ladies stayed tough and positive out there in extremely difficult conditions with wind cold and rain. It was a high of 45 with 15-20 winds and rain. This is great experience for our ladies and to continue to learn and grow to score and find a way to get the ball in the hole. It was a grind."
"I'm proud of Camille and her fantastic finish of third and even par. She was steady and confident and looked like a great leader of our team out there."
"We're so grateful to be back competing and to get those competitive juices flowing as a team, together."
