DENVER – The University of Denver women's gymnastics team moved up one spot to No. 7 in the Week 5 Road to Nationals rankings, released on Monday.

Overall: No. 7 (196.544 average)
Vault: No. 20 (48.919)
Bars: tie-No. 4 (49.306)
Beam: No. 5 (49.225)
Floor: tie-No. 14 (49.094)
 
For the fourth week in a row, the bars and beam squads are both ranked inside the top five in the nation. Denver improved its ranking by one spot on vault. Following a season-high 49.300 on floor, DU moved up five spots in the floor rankings.

Senior Lynnzee Brown (Kansas City, Mo.)
All-Around: No. 6 (39.517)
Vault: tie-No. 25 (9.856)
Bars: tie-No. 4 (9.919)
Floor: No. 22 (9.883)
 
Freshman Abbie Thompson (Sanford, Fla.)
All-Around: No. 19 (39.300)
Beam: tie-No. 21 (9.875)
 
Freshman Rylie Mundell (Parker, Colo.)
Bars: tie-No. 9 (9.900)
 
Junior Alexis Vasquez (Arcadia, Calif.)
Beam: tie-No. 24 (9.869)
 
Senior Emily Glynn (Longmont, Colo.)
Bars: tie-No. 25 (9.862)
 
Brown moved up again in the all-around standings following her 39.700 on February 7, which is the third-highest score in country this year – behind two 39.750s from Florida's Trinity Thomas. It matches the senior's second-highest career score, behind her record of 39.775.
 
Thompson, who made her collegiate all-around debut against Oklahoma and Temple, enters the national rankings at No. 19 while also improving her beam ranking. Glynn returned to the bars standings after finishing the 2020 season ranked No. 25 on the event.
 
The University of Denver gymnastics team, presented by Your Front Range Toyota Stores, travels to West Virginia on Thursday, February 11, for the first of back-to-back meets against the Mountaineers.
