DENVER – For the second straight year, grad student defender 
Molly Little of the Denver Pioneers women's lacrosse team was named to the Tewaaraton Award Watch List, the award committee announced on Thursday.
 
The Tewaaraton Award annually honors the top male and female college lacrosse player in the United States. The selection committees are made up of premier collegiate coaches and are appointed annually by The Tewaaraton Foundation.
 
Through Denver's 1-1 start to the season, Little has one goal, two ground balls, two caused turnovers and eight draw controls as the 2020 BIG EAST Preseason Defensive Player of the Year and an Inside Lacrosse Preseason 3rd Team All-American. Little has 40 points, 57 ground balls, 48 caused turnovers and 167 draw controls in 49 career games for the Pioneers. The 2019 All-BIG EAST First Team honoree and Tiverton, R.I., native had a team-leading 37 draw controls in the eight-game 2020 season and was invited to a U.S. team tryout for the 2021 World Lacrosse Women's World Championship, which was later postponed. She was named a 2021 captain in January along with 
Eliza Radochonski, 
Sammie Morton and Caroline Weisman.
