DENVER – Grad student defender Molly Little of the No. 22 Denver Pioneers women's lacrosse team was named BIG EAST Defender of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.
 
Little helped the Pioneers to a 14-10 win against San Diego State, anchoring a defense that forced 22 turnovers and allowed only 25 shots. The Tiverton, R.I. native posted four draw controls, two ground balls and one caused turnover. Denver disrupted SDSU's clear attempts on five occasions while the Pioneers finished 21-of-23 on clears, including a perfect 5-for-5 in the second half.
 
This marks Little's third career BIG EAST Player of the Week honor.
