[50/44] Denver Set for Three-Match Weekend in Summit League Play

The Pioneers will host Omaha Friday and Drake Saturday and travel to North Dakota Sunday.

DENVER – The [50/44] University of Denver men's tennis program is set for a three-match weekend this weekend, with two home matches at Denver Tennis Park and a trip to North Dakota on Sunday.

Weekend Schedule
Friday – April 9 – Omaha – 12 p.m. MT
Saturday – April 10 – Drake – 10 a.m. MT
Sunday – April 11 – at North Dakota – 11 a.m. MT

Denver enters the weekend at 10-3, 1-0 in the Summit League, and winners of 10 of its last 11 matches.

Rankings Update:
Denver is ranked 50th in the latest ITA computer rankings, and was voted 44th in the latest ITA Coaches' Poll.

The Pioneers took down Oral Roberts 6-1 on Friday afternoon in Tulsa. RECAP

Significant Stats:
-          James Davis enters this weekend's match 9-3 in singles, including 5-1 on the No. 2 Court.
-          Ignacio Rivero Crespo and Nicolas Herrero Cuesta have each won their last four singles matches, anchoring the back-half of Denver's lineup.
-          Matt Summers is 9-3 in singles, including 8-1 on court 3.
-          Peter Sallay is 9-2 in singles, with all of his matches being played on the No. 4 court.

UP NEXT:
Denver will close out the 2021 regular season with a trip to Illinois State next Saturday. First serve is set for 12 p.m. MT.
