DENVER – The University of Denver women's lacrosse program has named recent Pioneer graduate Molly Little its volunteer assistant coach for the 2022 season, head coach Liza Kelly announced on Thursday. Megan Zeman, who completed her fourth season with the program in 2021, will move to the Director of Operations role.
 
"We're excited to add Molly to our staff following the rest of her professional rookie year," Kelly said. "Having played with most of our players, and led them as a team captain, we're really excited about what Molly can bring to our coaching staff. She has a tremendous understanding of the game, and will be a great asset to our staff."
 
Little was a two-time Tewaaraton Award Finalist and IWLCA Second Team All-America selection in 2021, helping captain the Pioneers to a trip to the NCAA Second Round last spring. The 2021 YRL Unsung Hero Award Finalist finished her career ninth in Denver's DI history in caused turnovers (76) and second in draw controls (214).
 
"Being able to stay and give back to this program means the world to me," Little said. "Denver took a chance on me as a player when I came in my sophomore year so it only feels right to continue to help grow this program as a coach. I can't wait to learn from Liza, Brice and Britt and stay involved with the Denver women's lacrosse program."
 
Zeman attended the University of Denver from 2007-10, appearing in 72 games for the Crimson and Gold. During her career, she scored 15 goals, had three assists, 67 ground balls, 47 draw controls and 49 caused turnovers.
 
"Megan has played such an important role in the success of our program over the last several years," Kelly said. "I'm very excited to keep her on staff, as we continue to build on the accomplishments of the last several seasons."
