Adler and Shorts Continue Professional Careers Abroad

Former Pioneers continue careers as professionals in Europe

DENVER – A pair of former Pioneers are continuing their soccer careers in Europe as Hannah Adler has signed with UEFA Women's Champions League side HB Køge (Denmark) and Cheyenne Shorts signed with the Celtic FC Women (Scotland) late last month.

Shorts has already made one champions league appearance with Celtic earlier this campaign. The Denver, Colo., native was named the 2019 Summit League Defensive Player of the Year and earned All-West Region First Team honors in her final season with the Crimson and Gold. Shorts is a two-time member of the Summit League First Team and a two-time honoree on the Summit League All-Tournament Team.

Adler was a three-time Summit League First Team selection, tallying 68 points on 25 goals and 18 assists in 81 career matches. At the time of her graduation, Adler was ninth in career points (68), ninth in goals (25), 11th in assists (18) and fifth in game-winning goals (11). Adler's other awards include Summit League Tournament MVP in 2018 and a United Soccer Coaches' All-West Region honor in 2018.
