COLORADO SPRINGS – The University of Denver men's golf team got there season started off strong on Friday, finishing third after one round of the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational.
Jackson Solem led the way with a 6-under 66 to finish atop the leader board.

- 105 Players
- 21 teams
Significant Stats:
- Solem's 66 was the low round of the tournament through 18 holes of play.
- UC Davis sits in first on the team leader board after day one at 9-under.
- DU shot a 286 (2-under) as a team.
Inside the Round for the Pioneers:
- Solem continued right where he left off last year, shooting a 5-under on the front nine of the course. The Longmont native went bogey free on the day.

Esteban Missura had a good start to his season, firing an even-par 72, putting him in a tie for 14th.

Carson Griggs and
Jun Ho Won each tied for 33rd at 2-over.

John Sand tied for 46th at 3-over.
