DENVER – The University of Denver Hockey program announced today that the team will host Lindenwood University in an exhibition game at Magness Arena on Saturday, Oct. 2.
 
"We are excited to welcome the newest member of the NCAA division I ice hockey community in Lindenwood University to Magness Arena for this season's exhibition game," Richard and Kitzia Goodman Head Coach David Carle said. "Any time our game grows, it is a great thing. This game will give us an opportunity to evaluate our team and play a quality opponent prior to the start of the regular season. Lastly, and most importantly, we can't wait to get back in front of our loyal Pioneer fans and play Denver hockey."

Game time is set for 6 p.m. MT, and admission for the exhibition is free for hockey season-ticket holders. Tickets for the exhibition are on sale now for non-season members for just $10 (all seats are general admission). Click Here to purchase.
 
The game with the Lindenwood Lions will be the first at home that the Pioneers will play in front of the general public since March 7, 2020, a 5-1 victory against Colorado College at Magness Arena. This is the first-ever meeting between Denver and Lindenwood, with the Lions making the jump to the NCAA level for 2022-23.
 
The Pioneers open the regular season against Arizona State at home on Oct. 8-9 as part of Homecoming Weekend.
