DENVER – The [RV/-] University of Denver men's soccer team will start its second three-match road swing of the campaign on Friday when the Pioneers make the short trip down I-25 to take on the Air Force Falcons. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. MT.

Jamie Franks is in his seventh season as the bench boss for the Pioneers and his 10th on the Denver campus overall. The head coach of the 2016 National Coaching Staff of the Year has put together a 76-27-14 record and has led Denver to all but two of the league trophies available (2019 regular season and 2017 postseason) since Denver joined the Summit League in 2013.
Series History: Denver vs. Air Force:
The Pioneers lead the DI series by a count of 15-10-2 as the two teams are set to meet in an official match this weekend for the first time since the 2018 NCAA Second Round when the Falcons knocked off the Pioneers 2-1. Denver won the previous meeting in 2012 by a scoreline of 3-2. Denver is 8-6-0 against the Falcons in Colorado Springs.

Summit League Offensive Player of the Week Lukas Fisher setup a pair of first-half tallies that were scored by defenders as the Pioneers stretched their unbeaten streak to four-consecutive matches after a 2-1 win over Cal State Fullerton on Sunday afternoon at the University of Denver Soccer Stadium. Ronan Wynne and AJ Francois netted their first career goals in Crimson and Gold in the victory.
Summit League Preseason Poll:
Denver was picked second in the 2021 Summit League Men's Soccer Preseason Coaches' Poll, the first time the Pioneers haven't been voted the preseason favorite since joining the league in 2013. Outside of a fourth place finish in 2019, Denver has won at least a share of the Summit League regular season title in the other seven seasons. In addition to the coaches' poll, Stefan DeLeone and Liam Johnson were named to the Summit League Men's Soccer Players to Watch List.

- Two-time captain Liam Johnson was named to the MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List.
- Denver's freshman class was ranked the seventh-best recruiting class in the country according to Top Drawer Soccer.
