DENVER – The University of Denver gymnastics team is ranked No. 7 in the country in the Week 4 Road to Nationals rankings, which were released on Monday.
TEAM NATIONAL RANKINGS
Overall: No. 7 (196.956 average)
Vault: No. 10 (49.200)
Bars: No. 9 (49.275)
Beam: tie-No. 7 (49.281)
Floor: tie-No. 15 (49.200)
Denver set a new season high on vault (49.275) and posted its second highest bars score of the season (49.325) at Oklahoma on Sunday to improve its averages on both events.
INDIVIDUAL NATIONAL RANKINGS
Graduate Student Lynnzee Brown
All-Around: No. 8 (39.558)
Vault: No. 14 (9.894)
Beam: tie-No. 16 (9.900)
Sophomore
Rylie Mundell just missed this week's bars rankings, sitting tied for No. 26 with a 9.881 average. Fellow sophomore
Abbie Thompson is only .013 out of the No. 25 spot on beam as well.
Denver returns home after three consecutive road meets and will host New Hampshire on Sunday, February 6, at 2 p.m. in Magness Arena.
